client before treatment
client during treatment,
most find it very relaxing
Reiki is used in many hospitals as a complementary therapy after surgery or during illness to calm patients, reduce stress, speed up recovery, and to provide relaxation and comfort .
Reiki is energy NOT a religion
it is a Japanese technique for stress reduction that also promotes healing
it treats the whole person - body, emotion, mind and spirit
it is widely used in many hospitals as complementary therapy
the energy is accessible to everyone and passed on through the attunement process of a Reiki Master
it is a "laying hands on" technique
it does not harm
it is not a massage technique
it is not a substitute for medical treatment BUT can be safely combined with other alternative and conventional healing as it will only enhance these tools
"I've had Barbara perform Reiki two or three times post two surgeries and both surgeons were amazed at my healing progress. In fact, after one surgery I was able to avoid taking pain killers." ~ Davida C., Boston
Reiki has many benefits including reinforcing vitality and strengthening the immune system. It can relieve pain and disorders related to arthritis, back injuries, sciatica, insomnia, depression, grief, sinus issues, menopause, migraines, cystitis, asthma, chronic fatigue, and much more.

The goal of a Reiki workshop or attunement is the same for anyone who teaches Reiki. It is about enabling the individual to open up to the higher source of energy, divine light, white light, whatever you want to call it.
Length of workshops can vary:
Level I & II can be a few hours to three days. Many practitioners teach both levels at the same time and so those workshops usually last from two to four days.
Level III is the longest and can be two days to a few months, depending on the instructor.
The duration of my workshops is usually 1 day for level 1 & 2. The key is the attunement and the background information. Energy finds its way and in reality, one does not need to implement crystals or rituals to make it flow. Energy is all around as well as within us.
The key for a practitioner giving treatment is learning to let go, to have neither an attachment to the outcome nor an expectation as expectations require an ego. Treating from the ego will create limitations.
